21-Day Self-Care & Mental Health Challenge

Let's get real for a sec. While the holidays coming up can be a joyous time with family, friends, and loved ones, it can also be a very tough time for many people! With that in mind, we thought we'd do a 21 day Self-Care & Mental Health Challenge!! 

 

This challenge is designed to give you tips to help your mental health that you can apply daily, weekly, or however best helps you. We encourage you to try to complete every day and share your journey! 

 

Here are the 21 Days to follow. You can begin today or whenever day best fits your schedule:

Day 1: Gratitude Journaling
Write down three things you’re grateful for. Reflect on why they matter to you.
 

Day 2: Mindful Movement
Engage in 30 minutes of your favorite workout. Focus on how your body feels during the activity.
 

Day 3: Digital Detox
Take a break from social media for the day. Use the time for self-reflection or reading.
 

Day 4: Stretch & Breathe
Incorporate a 15-minute stretching routine followed by deep breathing exercises.
 

Day 5: Healthy Cooking
Prepare a nutritious meal using fresh ingredients. Share the recipe on social media for your gym family!
 

Day 6: Nature Walk
Spend 30 minutes outdoors, appreciating nature. Notice the sights and sounds around you.
 

Day 7: Self-Compassion
Write a letter to yourself, expressing kindness and understanding about any struggles you face.

Day 8: Group Workout
Participate in a group class or workout with friends. Focus on community and connection.
 

Day 9: Prayer / Meditation Session
PRAY!! There is power in prayer. You can also try a guided meditation session for 10-15 minutes.
 

Day 10: Explore a New Activity
Try a new fitness class or workout style. Step out of your comfort zone.
 

Day 11: Acts of Kindness
Do something kind for someone else. It could be as simple as complimenting a fellow gym member.
 

Day 12: Goal Setting
Set a personal wellness goal for the next month. Write down actionable steps to achieve it.
 

Day 13: Creative Expression
Spend time on a creative hobby (drawing, writing, etc.).


Day 14: Hydration Day
Focus on drinking enough water. Challenge yourself to track your intake.
 

Day 15: Visualization

Spend 10 minutes visualizing your goals and the steps you’ll take to achieve them.

 

Day 16: Volunteer

Give back to the community. Volunteer for a local charity or organize a gym event.

 

Day 17: Rest Day

Take a full rest day. Focus on relaxation and self-care activities you enjoy.

 

Day 18: Positive Affirmations

Write down five positive affirmations. Repeat them throughout the day.

 

Day 19: Share Your Journey

Share your self-care journey with gym members or on social media. Inspire others.

 

Day 20: Mindful Eating

Practice mindful eating at your next meal. Focus on flavors, textures, and your hunger cues.

 

Day 21: Reflection and Celebration

Reflect on the past 21 days. Celebrate your achievements and set intentions for the future.
